NEXT SATURDAY'S APPEAL. In connection with the appeal to be made on Saturday next on behalf of the. Y.M.O.A. war work, the shop lately occupied by Messrs May and Arrowsmith lias been secured and will be on that day entirely tindnr thu control of the mothers of soldiers. The room at the rear of the shop will be made —under •the skilled hands of returned "oldiers—to represent one of the i'M.C.A. frontline dugouts,, to which a small admission charge will be made. Music will be provided, and fruit salads and such like will bo on sale. . It has alss. been sffsingeft to lmc sales in the street, apd this department of the ..effort will l)e i under the control of Mr. J. McLeod. who, with a band of helpers, will patrol the town ou a, lorry. They, will also run some novel and amusing competition. Gifts of articles for disposal areMnvited from any and every source, and they may be left at the Soldiers' Club, The Y.M-C.A. 'ias made a big effort for the men at the front, and ,'lose at home should make a big effort on behalf of the Y.M.C.A..
