INGLEWOOD CLUB. The Ingle.vood Club members had another try at lifting the Leslie hawk . rom the holders (F. Spin-die's rink) last week. The challengers made a fair fight of it, hut in the final head the margin favoring the holders was 2o to iS. The rinks were-: A. Ltle, R. Branch, G. Morton, F. Spurdle (s.) v. B. Codd, Heel, C. Allen, W. Lightfoot (s.). The holders of the pairs. Cold well and Henry, sustained a challenge by Codd and Lightfoot, Coidwcll winning by 22 to 18. Jnglowootl anticipates a visit from Waitara next Thursday, and the following week from the New Plymouth Club. STRATFORD CLUB. Stratford will be represented by two teams at Palmerston North .luring Easter, and iast week tlnvx tenuis bad a trial of strength. The rinks were skipped by Sharp and Franks. The latter rair into tho lead at the early stages, but after tficnrinrr a. margin of nine in his favor, Sharp made up the leeway and eventually landed the match by two points- The tournament teams are: J. S- Lyons, F. Foley, P. Skoglund, S. Sharp (s.); H. Edgecombe, T. A. W. Nicholson, H. Harris, W. Franks. Stratford will have several pairs in the Easter tournament.
