The threat was confirmed by an ultimatum on Marcli 2. A request to delay the reply was curtly refused. ROUMANIAN REPLY LATE. ANOTHER ULTIMATUM SENT. Times Service. Received March 10, 5.5 p.m. London, March 9. The Times' Jassy correspondent states that the Cabinet expressed its willingness to accept the first ultimatum and start peace discussions, but the reply arrived two hours late, whereupon the Austriaris renounced the armistice, and sent another ultimatum, saying that if the reply did not arrive in time they could not keep to the condition imposed, but would impose much greater.
