Goodwin pleaded guilty to a charge of using threatening behaviour at the Bell Block publi- hall on November 14, 1917, and thereby causing a breach of the peace. He was convicted and fined 10s (costs 9s). CYCLING ON FOOTPATH. Rupert Arnold George, on the information of the Borough Inspector (Mr Day) was convicted and fined 10s (casts Js) for cycling on the footpath in Cour. tenay street. UNENROLLED RESERVIST. The. adjourned ' case' against Frederick Carrington, who was. charged with employing Adolphu-; Hugh Parsons, an unenrolled reservist, at Awakino, between August 27 and December 22, 1917, was called and on the application of defendant was further adjourned till March
