STORMY WEATHER.
By Telegraph.—Press Association. Gisborne, Manrcli S. A storm is raging along the coast-withi heavy rain and the rivers are flooded. The Waipmva River overfiooded its banks at midnight and a portion of tho flats is inundated and considerable damage has been done to maize and other - crops. The precautions taken will lesson the losses of stock. Railway traffic is interrupted. ' Napier, March .5. 1 The sea moderated considerably to-day. The Arahura landed her passengers at the breakwater this morning. The other' steamer is still out in the bay. The Ngaiuroro and Tutaekuri are overflowing their banks at Waima and Mceaitee respectively. The Ngarororo, rose very TapidJy last night. Thft set-, tiers appear to have been prepawd Jjp; the flood. The weatlter cleared locally at noon,, but the rivers are rising still, but as the sea is moderating a serious -flood is unlikely. THE SEA SUBSIDING. ' ' Napier, Last Night.
