Wellington Last Night, The centre of a cyclonic disturbance is still in evidence north of the Bay of Plenty, while another disturbance is apparently developing to the westward of the South Island. Strong south-easterly winds have ruled in ..rid northwards of Cook Strain and heavy rain haa fallen, especially on the east coast of the North Island. Present indications are for strong southerly winds liorthward of Farewell Spit and Kaikoura, and freshening north east winds elsewhere; expect cloudy and misty weather, and rain probable generally, with rivers flooded 011 the east coa3t of the North Island. The barometer is unsteady in the north, and has a falling tendency in the south.
