Spurdle (s.) never looked like losing and. had an easy win, and are ready for other challengers. ■ ■ - The Button pairs, holders, J. Drake; and 1". Spurdle (s.), also experienced no difiiculty in sustaining a challenge by A- Lile and B. Todd. • Whilst at Taurangft, a Taranftki team played two games. The Tauranga team in the first game was Allebv, Lambie (brother to the Piliama player), Rowe (ono time resident of 11avvera), and ty.iarp (s.), who were opposed by Putt, Cijrey (Patea). Lobb, Coldwell (8-), Taranaki winning by 2(1 to 15. In the second game against Ball, Chemson, Rowe, and Torrance the Taranaki four were defeated by 23 to 18, At tho Rotorua tournament A, K, Smart's rink did much better than was reported in the papers, winning 10 games and losing 4, whereas the report gave him S wins and 0 losses. The discrepancy in the scores is due to the fact that he was dc-bited with losses to Ramson (U'hakatane) and Curtain (Cambridge), whereas he won both matches, the former by 23 —9 and the latter by 20—0. He was level with Ashton (Roto rua) for the section winner, but lost hla last game, whereas Ashton was jiicoegs.ful and therefore won the section, In a Buttons match at Hawera on Saturday afternoon, the holders (Robinson, Parkhouso, Corkill, and Spence) defeated Were, T. Tait, W. Robertson, and Parkinson by 19 to 10 points,
