The tale is of the well-known husband, who neglects his wife for other pursuits, She in her turn finds other pleasure than that of the home. She learns to smoke, to drink, and the husband is annoyed. This is all very natural in the circumstances, and several bitter scenes pass between them. But the widening breach is at last healed by circumstances, for in a dazzling final scene (he wife dashes into a big business meeting and staves off ruin from her husband. Thf> story itself is true to life, and the settings are of more than ordinary beauty. There are two or three incidents in "The Web of Desire" that will iliold .any crowd spellbound. The supporting pictures include "The Vanishing Faker," the seventeenth episode of "The Iron Claw'' and as there are only three more episodes of this fasinating picture it is easy to imagine that there are some sensational happenings right to the final.
