The prospects for tlie year I'.HS are very good indeed, more wort - offering at present than we have the stall' to overtake. Hawera Technical College shows a roll of 7, with more expected; liawera D.11.5. has 15 lads taking the full rural course; Stratford DH.S. (secondary) has S2 rural, with a total of lfio available for agricultural instruction in one form or another Tlie only exception at present as regards increased enrolments is New Plymouth Technical College. The question of additions to staff must he faced immediately as several sections of work cannot ho taken up until more help is available. '.Mr. Hurley is taking the classes at Stratford (!! days per week) and Hawera (I day), and is at present available for Xew Plymouth (1 day). Mr. Howell has been visiting country schools, also assisting in instruction at Ne.w Plymouth, and takes the liawera Technical College class. The "Matchless" motor cycle is, as already reported, not suitable for ordinary ''solo'' work, heiiisr unneeessarik powerful, and Mr. Howell finds it too heavy for him. »Consequently, fewer schools have been visited be him than ho intended. I have r. pood offer of a second hand machine eminently suited to our requirements. Farmers' Classes.—lnstruction in regard to tlrcsc i.as not yet bedim for the season, but an early stan will be made as soon as arrangements re other classes are completed.
