FIRES.
BOARDING-HOUSE DESTROYED. By Telegraph,—Press Association. Hastings, Feb. 20. The Manor boarding-house, of '2B rooms, owned by' W. H. Compton and occupied by Murray and Spalding, was totally destroyed at 1 o'clock this morning. Nothing was saved, all escaping in scanty apparel. The insurances are: Building, £750 in the State office; furniture, £4OO in the Northern. It was a wooden building erected 22 years ago.
