The following gifts for the Red Cross are acknowledged with thanks;— Mrs. Deacon, old linen; Miss Deacon, 5 cardigans, 1 pair bed-soeks, 1 pair mittens; Mr. Deacon, collection of dolls' furniture; Miss Deacon, knitted woollies for dolls; Tarurutangi Sewing Guild, 12 suits ' pyjamas. 12 handkerchiefs; Lepperton j Ladies' Guild, 11 pairs pyjamas, I! pairs ' bed-socks, 4 pairs slippers, 29 face wash- j r-rs, 1 hospital suit; from the girl knitters at Lepperton, 2 cardigans, 1 scarf, • 1 pair socks, 2 pairs bed-soeks, 2 pair i mittens. 2 stump socks. Gifts of money are acknowledged from Mrs. Stanley Jackson (sale of work aprons), Miss Collis and Mrs. E. A. Walker (sale or flowers and vegetables), Mrs. Crook (sale of needlework), Mrs. Thomson, Mrs. Martin, Misses Thomson, scissor fund (Mr. Mackay), sale of camisole, rebate on oil shares, a back-block 4 man. proceeds to farewell to two troopers (per Mrs. Shoemark). i Monthly subscriptions from Mrs. W.
