' RAILWAY OWNERSHIP. SUPPLIES PROM SPAIN. ■Washington, Fell. '22, The Senate defeated the Railroad Control Bill and rejected an amendment providing for Government ownership. An economic agreement between America and Spain lias been signed at Madrid, by which General Pershing obtains mules, blankets, and supplies from Spain in return for oil and other com* modifies from America, FINANCE MEASURESWashington, Feb. 22. The Senate reported the Finance Corporation Bill appropriation of 500,000 dollars. The Bill authorises the Government to control new issues. AMERICAN TROOPS IN FRANCE. Vancouver, Feb. 11. M. Andro Tardieu, High Commissioner for France in the United States, told an audience at a dinner in New York that America had 212,000 troops in Franco. Duk'e Albrecht of Wurtemburg is the commander of the Germans who face the American army near St. Mihiel. A message from New York states that M. Andre Tardieu says that France will be able to supply 20 divisions of the American army with artillery by July 1.
