The gentlemen who have interested themselves in the matter have not stinted themselves in the matter of time, and all have shown practical sympathy by contributing to the fund either in cash or stock. K. .Tames, agent for this district, has heen notified thai the flovernm?nt contemplates purchasing some for use with members of the Defence Department It is a unique gift that would be much appreciated, particularly by those in the trenches, as with a gift of this description a soldier could always keep his hair clipped short, and thus he spared a good deal of misery and irritation.
