SCHOOL CHAMPIONSHIPS.
The following events for the school championship ( sports meeting to be held in the Park on March 14 have been finally adopted by the committee: Championship events in school colors only. One hundred yards flat, 220, 400, and half mile, one 'mile, 120 hurdles, high jump and long jump. The folio, ing events will also be held,' but will not count for the shield, and will be open for any primary school hoy or girl who attended school up to last December:—Boys' sack race, threelegged race, 220 yards flat, and tug cf war, one team from each school. Girls' KM) yards egg and spoon, three-legged race, and 220 vards flat. Open to secondary schools, 440 invitations.
The whole of the entries close with Mr. A. Bullians, Central school, on Friday, March 1.
