Reuter Received Feb,, 22, 1.45 a.m. London, Feb. 21. In the House of Commons, in reply to a question. Dr. MacNamara said it was' not desirable to give information as to the recent German raid in the ChannelThe contention that German raiders and submarines could operate successfully in the Channel and Straits of Dover was entirely unjustified by facts. No matter how completely the sea was controlled they could not always prevent such attacks on a dark Jiight. The Admiralty had every reason to be satisfied with the results achieved during recent weeks by the Admiral commanding at Dover. GERMAN WARDSHIP MINED. Received Feb. 21, 5.5 p.m. Copenhagen, Feb. 20. A German guardship was, mined off Langeland, in the Baltic, and the crew of twenty were lost.
