LETTERS OF ACKNOWLEDGMENT. The secretary of the New Plymouth branch of the British Red Cross Society, has received the following acknowledgment from the secretary of the London committee, N.Z. 'branch, British Red Cross Society, and will be used for Red committee to acknowledge with many thanks your further subscription of £BOO to our funds. This amount has boon placed to the credit of the London committee of th» v 7"°laud Red Cross Society, and will be used for 1. Cross purposes." The local branch of the British Red Cross Society has also received the following:— "I have had Inquiries from one or two branches as to the distribution of Red Cross poods sent here from time to time, and alSo as to how the various sums of money remitted are expended. 1 have only recently taken the chairmanship of the Jled Cross committee, and propope, ea-ch month, as, heretofore, to send ,<?ut A, report to your central organisation Wellington, accompanied by a statement. of receipts and expenditure. This, J assume, will be circulated among the .various branches in the Dominion. If at Rny time you require more information than the report contains, and prefer a request through your central office, I should be only too pleased to respond.
