TANK BANK WEEK.
London, Feb. 15. Lending in the effort to avoid another loan is the business men's "Tank Bank Week," which is to start on March 4. Each town will be asked to raise enough money to purchase a definite munition of war, such as dreadnought, cruiser, destroyer, or aeropfcme, accord-, ing to the population. The people of Blyth (a small Northumberland seaport) have already undertaken to raise £IOO,OOO to purchase submarines. Mr. Bonar Law, who inaugurated the campaign on the 26th, stated tn the House of Commons that £35-2,000 000 had been raised by war bonds, and he was understood to say that he had every reason to hope that tfhe success of t)m campaign would obviate a fixed loan.
