A deputation from the Protestant Political Association wuitfed on the Minister for Justice regarding assaults on clergymen who weie apparently mistaken for the Rev. Howard Elliott at Fcildin#. Mr. Wilford said lie had issued instructions lor steps to be taken for discovery of the assailants, any any charges that would be indictable would lieard in the Supreme Court. The deputation suggested that the assault arose out of the assault on Mr. Elliott, in Auckland. It was said that a statement made by Mr. Frazer, SJI., was practically an incitement to a section of the community that they could go on doing that kind of thing.
