STRATFORD TECHNICAL HIGH SCHOOL. QUESTION RECONSIDERED. ABOLITION OF PCPIL TEACHERS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, i-ast, NightThe Council of Education to-day decided to grant the request of the Stratford people to reconsider the question of tli« type of high school to be established at Stratford, and to recommend a technical high school. The council passed a motion that the pay and allowances of pupil teachers and training college students should he increased, and that as soon as teach-' ers are available, (he provisions in tile Education Act lor the abolition of the' pupil teacher system and the staffing of. schools 'by adult teachers only, should be put into effect.
