AN AMAZING INCIDENT. ESCAPE OF ROUMANIAN LEGATION*. Received Feb. 11, 5.15 p.m. Stockholm, Feb. 10. ' The Roumanian legation from Peirograd arrived after a perilous journey through Finland. A Bolshevik courier named Smimov travelled in the same train, the Roumanian Minister, M. Diamandi, protecting the flatter. An amazing incident occurred at Haparanda, where Smirnov received a telegram from Trotsky ordering him to kill 51. Diapmandi; hut the Finlandcrs, having knowledge of the contents of the telegram, executed Smirnov in the presence of the astonished Roumanians POLES CAPTURE SMOLENSK. Received Feb. 11, 815 p.m. Amsterdam. Feb. 10. Advices from Vienna state that the Poles have captured Smolensk from the Bolsheviks. WAR AND CHOLERA. * PREVALENT THROUGHOUT RUSSIA. Stockholm, Feb- 10 The newspaper Aftonbladet states that war prevails throughout Russia. Violent fighting is progressing in Pclrograd and elsewhere and cholera is widespread. DELEGATIONS ENGLAND. SUBSIDISED BY GERMANS. Stockholm, Feb. 10. A Russian delegation ha? arrived here en route to England and France. It includes M- KamenefT. who is among those for whom the Imperial Bank of Germany opened credits in Switzerland for corruption. ULTIMATUM TO ROUMANTA. Athens, Feb. 10. Germany has demanded that Roumania sholl negotiate for peaoe within four days. The Roumanian Cabinet has resigned. PROPOSED SLAUGHTER OF CAPITALISTS. -Stockholm, Feb. 10. Scandinavians f-.-sm Finland state that the Finnish l.ed Guards Government seriously discussed, but finally rejected by two vot£3. a proposal for another St. Bartholonic-'s night, involving the slaughter of ail capitalists.
