REMITTANCE MAN DROWNED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Napier, Last Night. A remittance man named W. T. Devlin was drowned on the beach on Saturday at 7 p.m. He entered tlie water fully clothed, with the exception of his coat and boots. In the afternoon lie was under the influence of liquor. A Maori named Webster made a brave but ineffectual attempt at rescue, and a taxidriver named Bauchop brought'the body in.
