CONTROL OF SHIPPING. SHIPYARDS PURCHASED. Melbourne, Feb. 8A new war precautions regulation empowers the Commonwealth to control the movements of every vessel registered in Australia. Negotiations have been completed for the purchase by the Commonwealth of the shipbuilding yards at Williamstown for £200,000. The Commonwealth takes possession to-day.
