A TRIBUTE. To those brave women whose sons are nobly upholding our country's lionor in Kgypt and on the Continent. Yo\i send them forth, your motheriiearts near breaking And bravely try to stem the scalding tears; Then face the never-ending hours of waiting The while your heart is numb with racking fears. You listen to their cheery words of parting, And try to show Yourself as brave as they, Strive to take up your burden uncomplaining, Crush back the cowardly word that bids them "Stay." * In dreams you walk throng' 1 ! wards of dead and dying And fear to see "his'' f.icc ,i;n.in;r (hem too, By day and night your thoughts are 'hourly torture, You wait the message that miiy come for you.
