THE C2 MEN.
(From Our Own Correspondent), Wellington, Feb. 4. Some of the C 3 men of the First 'Division are asking when they are to know definitely whether or not they arc required to undergo re-examination, Yrith a view to their entering the CI camp. The position is that the papers of the men dravvn in the first six ballots and elassod as C2 have been examined, and nearly all these men have been notilied either they must be re-examined or that they are definitely unfit. A few oases have still to be dealt with, owing to the men concerned having had appeals adjourned by the military service boards. The, recruiting authorities have to aseertion the status of these men. The papers of C2 men drawn in the later ballots are being examined now, and the men will receive their notices in due course. The work cannot b? completer! very quickly, but the authorities state that there has been no unnecessary delay. They are anxious to "wash up" the First Division before men with children are called to camp.
