At the New Plymouth green on Saturday afternoon, playing in the Gilmour Cup competition, three rinks of the New Plymouth A team defeated a similar number representing New Plymouth B by 73 points to 5(5. Detailed scores are a.s follow, New Plymouth A being mentioned first in each case: Mellroy, Cutneld. Lnscomhc, Fookes (flk.) 10, v. Eraser. Cock, Blundell, 11. Smart (sk.) 19. Chaney, Dempsey, Burgess, A. Smart (ck.) 20, v. Waugh, White. Ewina;, Firth (sk.) 10. Binnie. Brooking, Wood, Smith (sk.) 31, v. Hooper, Fielder, Morton, Bants.) 18. - | THE ROTORUA TOURNAMENT. West End and New Plymouth Clubs will be represented at the Rotorua tournament next week. Another rink from West End and a Fit/.roy rink intended making the trip, but as only a limited number of rinks can be accommodated at the thermal centre, their entries could not be accepted. The New Plymouth rink will comprise: Luseombc,' Wood. Brown, A. K. Smart (s.). West End will be represented by: W. Putt, .1. .Johnson, Petty and J. Lobb (s.). After the tournament Messrs W. Putt and .1. Lobb intend journeying as far an Tauraiiga and other portions of the Auckland province before returning to New Plymouth. They will probably be away three weeks. Mr. J. 11, Simmons, secretary of the Palmerston North Bowling Club, who is visiting New Plymouth with bis wife, was a visitor to the New Plymouth green on Saturday.
