A New York cable reports the death of John L. Sullivan. The Rev. John Laird, formerly minister of the New Plymouth Baptist Tabernacle, is at present in town, and will be staying for several weeks. Private T. Eva, of Frankley Road, who left with the 28th Reinforcements, has been admitted to the hospital suffering from dilated heart. His Honor Mr. Justice Edwards arrived by the mail train on Saturday night for the purpose of presiding over the quarterly sessions of the Supremo Court at New Plymouth, which open :at 11 a.m. to-day. Mr. Justice Edwards is accompanied by Mrs. and Miss Edwards. Messrs W. Scott and A. T. Moore left | New Plymouth on Saturday morning for Christehurch, where they will act as the North Island Poultry Association's delegates of the North Island Poultry Association at a conference which is to be held for the purpose of establishing a uniform standard of utility poultry. The following Tarsnaki names appear in Saturday's casualty list: Wounded, Private R. Warihi (R'. Warihi, Rahotu, father) : slightly wounded, remaining with unit, Private D. R. Ritchie (A.
