MARBLE BAR PRICES
To the Editor. Sir,—ln answer to would-be "Tourist'' re prices charged by the Marble Bar, T would like to put the facts before the public. "Tourist," as he calls himself, called for a milk shake, a drink which is made with iced milk beaten up with an electric mixer, flavored with an essence costing uvs one shilling an ounce, and served with biscuits. Is this not worth sixpence of anv man's money? We cannot compel people to buy our goods, but they foe the menu with the prices charged marked in plain figures, so that when customers place an order they know what it is going to cost them. Re the Miu'ble Bar syndicate being grasping people, I know from experience that we s4rve as much for the money as any business of its kind in Australasia. 'Tourist" should note Where ignorance is bliss 'tis folly to be wise.—l am, etc., FREDERICK CARR, ■Mgr. Marble Bar.
