A GIG ACCIDENT.
T ATAIIATMAKA RESIDENTS INJURED. Messrs. M. Duggmi and T. oTßhartnn»ey,o T ßhartnn»ey, two well-known settlers of Tataraimajka, were brought into the New Plymouth Hospital yesterday evening, Buffering from injuries sustained in a gig accident. It appears that they were driving fj-Otti the Petonc road along the Main South road to the Timttru road, and, when b*iiv the Tataraimaka Post Office, the hor*e apparently tripped or stumbled, thriving the occupants of the trap on to the metalled road. First aid was rendered by Mrs. jewing, who was passing in a ear, Mr. and Mrs. T. Morris, and Mr. Moss, the. car being utilised to convey the injured men to New Plymouth, where they wore attended to by Dr. Blackley, and removed to the hospital. Enquiry last night elicited the information that Mr. O'Shiinnessy is suffering from an Injury to his knee, which, it is expected, will not be serious, whilst Mr. Dnggflu has sustained a grave injury to the lower portion of his knee.
