THE POSITION AT HOME. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. ''Some interest has lieeu taken,'' said the Prime Minister to-day, "in a statement cabled from England recently to the efl'ect that the Food Controller hag done away with the nominated 3ystem in the dispoeal of the surplus New Zealand frozen meat. This system was arranged in order that the New Zealand firms in the meat trade might during the war period foe able to keep some connection with the business which they had established, and in which naturally they were greatly interested. Information has now come to hand tlmt the nominated system will be con/mied under the control of an advisory committee."
