MILITARY SERVICE BOARD.

EDUCATION DEPARTMENT APPEALS. By Telegraph—Prass Association. Wellington, Jan. 23. The first appeals lodged by the Education Department came before the Military Service Board to-day, and adjournments sine die were granted. One man appealed for is in the head office, artd his services are said to be indispensable. The other two are teachers in Native school 3. The assistant director of Education said that the department would only appeal in the case of Native school teachere.
