A QUESTION* OF PUNISHMENT. By Telegraph,—Press Association. Christchurch, Jan. 23. Difficulty has arisen in connection with two reservists' charges. E. Warden anilArthur Burrows were iound guilty yesterday of refusing to obey the commands of a superior officer and declining to submit to medical examination. The courtmartial passed sentence, hut Colonel Chaft'cy cannot confirm it until satisfied by the medical authorities that the prisoners are fit to undergo punishment. As the men have refused to be examined a deadlock has occurred. It is possible that the position will be submitted to headquarters in Wellington. AN ACT OF CLEMENCY. Wellington, Last Night. The Minister qf Defence has decided to have the order revoked excluding Young and Howell, of the Seamen's Union, from the ships and whurves, in the interests, of the union.
