HIGH COMMISSIONER'S REPORT. The Department of Agriculture, Industries and Commerce has received the following cablegram, dated Loii3o n, January 19, from the High. Commissioner for New Zealand. Bv order ,of the Food Controller maximum prices' of home-killed mutton and English lambs have been raised to 13% d. With reference io mv telegram of December imported offal maximum prices will tie in force after next'week. Butter—Very limited "supply. Government has not distributed any furthei supplies. Cheese—Active demand at fall prices on account of difficulty "in" obtaining supplies. Hemp—Manila and New Zealand hemp markets quiet and steady at maximum prices. Manila output during two weeks ending January 12, 39,000 'bales. 'Vheat—Market quiet, small business doing. Official quotations art:—No. 2 Northern Manitoba and No. 2 Hard Winter, 7«s; Australian, f«s 6d Oats Market steady, fair business doing. No. i : Whit# Clipped American, 50s 3d.
