PERMITTING DRUNKENNESS.
AX IXTERESTIXG POIXT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Jan. 22. At the Magistrate's Court, Samuel Jennings Allen, licensee of the White lfart Hotel, was charged with permitting drunkenness on his premisen. The man concerned was'a iodgei', and the ease was dismissed, the Magistrate upholding the contention that th<>. innkeeper does not permit drunkenness on his premises by allowing a lodger who becomes drunk after contracting for lodging, to remain on bis premises.
