CANTERBURY v. WELLINGTON. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Wellington-Canterbury cricket match was commenced at the Basin Reserve in perfect' weather. The scoring was slow, but this was the only indication that the wicket did not favor the batsmen. Canterbury were all out before lunch for 159, North 18, Perrin 10, Allardyce 33 find Read 41 being the only double-figure scorers. Wellington, after making a much better beginning, only reached 153 in the first innings, Hiddlestone being top scorer with 51, while Wilson and Brice got 23 each. In the second innings Canterbury have lost four wickets for 74. Garrod. who was bowling splendidly, captured all four wickets.
