A RAILWAY DISASTER.
CAUSED BY LANDSLIDE CAItRJAG KS OK EX PRESS TELESCOPED. London, Jan. 20. Th» Midland Railway Scottish express from London nijt into landslide at Lii/onhy (Cumberland), Vi'nd the engine Van overturned and the carriages telescoped. Six people were killed and about twenty were injured. The train was running at full speed at dusk when the driver noticed 11 huge bank dropping 011 the lint;. The engine became embedded and derailed, and tile heavy train forced the foremost coach at right angles across the rails and smashed it to atoms. Heroic refcue and .'ii'st-aiil work w.is done by military officers and nurses wile were on board.
