PARLIAMENT OPENED. WAl'i AID FOR BRITAIN. Received Jan. 20, 5.5 p.m. Capetown, .Jan. 18. The Union Parliament opened to-day. The Governor-General's spseeh said that certain proposals would be submitted, in pursuance of the policy to render the British Government all possible assistance in the prosecution of the mar.
