ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.

A STEVEDORE STRANGLED. By Telegraph,—Press Association. Napier, Last Night. A stevedore, named John McGarry, met his death in a strange manner tonight. After knocking off work he was under the influence of liquor, and at eight o'clock was found quite dend in Hardinge road, with his head through a picket fence. He had evidently fallen asleep and been strangled. Several pass-ers-by noticed him, but had no idea he was dead.
