TARANAKI TOURNAMENT,
DOMINION TOURNAMENT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Duneilin, Last Niglit. The rink competitions in the Dominion Bowling Tournament were continued under perfect bowling conditions. The mutches hud an important bearing on the result, as they determined the section winners. All those having seven wins or over out of the nine games qualify for taking part in the semi-finals to be entered upon to-morrow. These will be played on the "sudden death" principle, any rink beaten dropping out till the winner is found. To-day's play left the record as follows: Section A. —Johnston (Dunedin), Wyj lie (Te Hiwi) and Fraser (United) each J have 7 wins and 2 losses; Smith (Giaborne) and Haldane (Nelson) have each 6 wins and 3 losses. Section B.—Noble (Newtown) and Watts (Otago) have each 7 wins and 2 losses; Cormac (Caledonian) 0 wins and 3 losses. Section C.—Fas'ier (Caversham), Smellie (Green Is!' have each 7 wins and 2 losses; Parker { Auckland) G wins and 3 losses. / Section D Casey (Ponsonby) 8 wins and 1 loss; Cameron (St. Kilda) and Wilson (Auckland) each 6 wins and 3\ losses. J Section R—Colville (Edgeware) S wins and 1 loss; Dall (Dunedin), Foster (Caledonian) and Wylie (Kaiapoi) each 6 wins and 3 losses. Section F.—Walker (Ponsonby) the only unbroken rink in the competition; Bailey (Haitaitai) 7 wins and 2 losses; Ha in' (North End) and Calder (Phoenix) each 0 wins and 3 losses. Section G.—'Smith (Otago) 7 wins and 2 losses; Magnus (Wellington) and Millar (Park) li wins and 3 losses. Section H.—Gray (Kelburn) 7 wins and 2 losses; Smart (Stratford), Gillies (Dunedin) and McDougall (Christclmreli) each 0 wins and 3 losses.

STRATFORD CLUB. I (From Our Stratford Correspondent). The Stratford Club had two teams engaged in the pairs match at the Dunedin tournament, the men playing being: Lyons and Sharp (skip), and Foley and McMillan (skip). Both teams had seven games, winning - two and losing five. Sharp's games were: v. Dnimmond, won, 28—11; v. Fisher, won, 11—5; v. Smith, lost, 12—24; v. Hunter, lost, 11—2); v. Crawford, lost, 21—26; v. Hill, lost, 14— 151 v. Wright, lost, 12—13. McMillan defeated Hannah, IS —15, and also had a large margin in his favor against Wilson, 30—13; v. Tage, lost, 26—2!); v. Spiller, lost, 14—21 [ v. Claxton, lost, 8—11; v. Calvert, ]o»t, 12—13; v. Stevenson, lost, 11-14. The success of Smart's rink in his section at the Dunodin tournament is very pleasing to the Stratford Club. Sharp's four appear to bo out of the running, but better luck next time.
