Thc'Tageblatt says that Cmwt von Hertling is seriously ill jwing to overwork. The Morning Post announ-va the impending resignation of Herr von Valentine, the Kaiser's chief civilian secretary. Great political change* in the ajrcr personnel are foreshadowed. The Kaiser's action in consulting the German diplomatists in neutral countries adjoining Germany is regarded as figniflcant in view of the latest discu-sions of war aims.
WHOLESALE ANNEXATIONS. PAN-GERMANS AND THE KAISER. Received Jan. 10, 8.4fl p.m. Amsterdam, Jan. 15. The Vorwaerts states that the PanGermans are trying to induce the Kaiser to consent to wholesale annexations east and west, which will involve the immediate resignation of Baron von Hertling and Baron von Kuhlmanf MILITARY PARTY ON TOP. NO CHANGE IN POLISH QUESTION. Received Jan. 16, 11.40 p.m. Amsterdam, Jan. 16. Messages from Berlin indicate that the military party has gained the upper hand. It is semi-officially announced that there will be no change in the official decisions in regard to the Polish question.
