BOROUGH BEACH RESERVES.

FURTHER ACQUISITIONS The acquisition of additional land on the foreshore as borough reserve was referred to at last night's meeting of the New Plymouth Borough Council. Or. Hayden suggested that an effort should be made to induce the Minister of Railways, the Hon. W. H. TTevries, to visit New Plymouth, in order to confer with Hie council with regard to acquiring all that land between the railway line andj.he bench, from Kawaroa Park to Bayly Road, for the purpose of a borough reserve. He moved that a letter be sent to the Minister asking if he could name n, date for visiting New Plymouth. Cr. jßrowne seconded the motion, which was carried.
