CITIZENS' BAND CARNIVAL.
A meeting of the Citizens' Band Carnival Committee was held last night, when there were present: Messrs S G. Smith (chairman), T. 'Petty, 11. R. Cttttley, A. Hooker, A. Milne, F. Coleman, 11. Ivibby, S. Brooks, K Solo, 11. J. Moverley and A. liullians (honorary secretary). The statement of accounts was read, proving highly satisfactory, but there aer one or two small items to be included before it is finally submitted. It was resolved to open an account in the National Bank, in the name of the Citizens' Band Carnival Committee, and that the chairman (Mr. S. G. Smith), treasurer (Mr. H. R. Cattley), and secretary (Mr. A. Bullians) be empowered to operate it. It was resolved that the Citizens' Band Carnival Committee records its heartiest appreciation of the efforts of all those who assisted at the carnival. Mr. E. Sole, on behalf of the Citizens' Band Committee, expressed appreciation of the efforts of the chairman, secretary and members of the carnival committee, in the interests of the band. . It was resolved that it be a suggestion to the annual meeting of the Citizens' Band that a carnival be held on Labor Day, in aid of the building fund. Mr. A. Tunbridge was appointed auditor.
