The announcement of the fiual Aug tralian figures of the conscription refer> endum re-opens editorial comment in tlio Canadian press. RegTet is again expreeecil at Australia's action, wliich is regarded as a Maw to the British cause, giving evidence of a weakened moral. The papers remark that there are indications that the figures are only too likely to cause rejoicing among our enemies. Some of the newspapers suggest that Mr. Hughes ought* to appual again totlio country purely on the conscription issue/ and enforce the law if returned. Emphasis is placed on the vital need for men.
