WESTERN ATTACK.
A SUCCESSFUL RAID. AEROPLANES BOMB ENEMY TRENCHES. Received Jan. llj 10.20 p.m. London, .Tnn. 11. Sir Douglas Ifaig reports: The London and rifle regiments successfully raided three points of trendies south-east of Yprcs, inflicting many casualties, and taking a few prisoners. Hostile artillery is active in the Bullerourt, Lens and Ypres neighborhood. Aeroplanes on Wednesday bombed the enemy's billots and hutment*, and ma-chine-gunned the troops in their trenches at low altitude. , Six of the enemy's machines were brought down and three of ours are missing, two of which collided over the enemy's lines.
THE GERMAN OFFENSIVE. VON WOYRSCH IN COMMAND. Received Jan. 11, 11.20 p.m. Paris, Jan. 10. M. Marcel Hutin, in the lieho do Paris, says General von Woyrseh, who has just been created a field marshal, wi! command the German offensive, which will commence when the weather permits.
