TRENTHAM SENSATION.
POUR MEN ESCAPE FROM DETENTION CAMP. ! -By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Jan. 10. A sensational escape from the Military Detention Camp at Trentham took place Inst night by four military prisoner*. named John Larkin, Robert Ernest Larkin, Alexander Arthur Walker, and George Henry Holleyinan. From ivhat can be gathered the four men suddenly attacked the guard, whom „ they overpowered and gagged. Then they got completely away. The police authorities have been notified to keep sharp lookout, but so far there are no tidings of the e-scapm Tho guard is stated 'to have been badly mauled. The Larking are .brothers who stowed fcway a few weeks ago in the fnmkers of a steamer leaving for Sydney. Oh arrival there they were not permitted to land, hut were brought back to Nev.Zealand and sentenced to a month's imprisonment for leaving the Dominion Without ;i permit.
