PEACE CONFERENCE ENDED. GERMANY'S FLIMSY EXCUSE. ' New York, Jan. 7. The United Press correspondent at Amsterdam states that the (iermans have notified the Russians that the peace ncgoiations are ended because the Allif-a have nol participated. HUN TRiCKS. ALLEGED PEACE TERMS OF ALLIES. Received Jan. 9, 1.53 a.m. London, Jan. 8. The Daily Chronicle's correspondent at Haparanda states it has been announced at Petrograd that England has fixed her peace terms and is publishing them in a few days. It is reported that England is ready to conclude peace on condition that she retains the right to continue the blockade of the Central Powers until peace is concluded and the German army demobilised. It is understood that the Austro(Vrman delegates nt Brest Litovsk disposed facts showing that the Central Powers and the Allies were secretly negotiating. The Germans told the Russians that fJie Allies proposed that after peace was concluded the Germans should take over the economic domination of Russia.
GERMAN PLANS FOR FINLAND. Stockholm, Jan. 7. The Social Democraten asks why Germany delays recognising the Finnish independence, and suggests that Germany wishes to use Finland as a base for operations against Petrograd. POSSIBILITY OF RESUMING WAR. London, Jan. 7, The Morning Post's Stockholm correspondent states that it is reported that Germany's attitude towards Russia has taken such a form that a continuation of negotiations is impossible. It is expected that M. Trotsky will appeal to the democracy to sink it* differences and unite for the defence of the revolution. CONFERENCE DIFFERENCES. ■Petrograd, Jan. 7.
