A OENEROUS QPFER. By Telegraph,—Press Association. 'Wellington, Last Night. Mr. George Hunter, M.P., lm« offered 25.'i(") acres at Porangahau for a soldiers' settlement. The land is to be ballotted for at the termination of the war, and it will then be convteyed to the Government Mr. Massey said to-day that he had accepted the oiler, which he regarded as a particularly generous one, and the Lands Department would proceed to prepare the land for occupation by discharged soldiers after the war.
