ENEMY AEROPLANE ATTACK. DEFEATED BY ANGLO-ITALIANS. Received Dec. -29, 12.4-5 a.m. Rome, Deo, 28. Italian official: Twenty-five enemy aeroplanes attempted to bombard an aviation camp westward of Treviso. British and Italian aeroplanes ascended. The anti-aircaft guns forced the enemy to retire, eight enemy machines being brought down. Eight machines renewed the attempt in the afternooD. We.drove them off, bringing three down. Altogether eight fell in our lines and three in the enemy's lines. All of ours returned. The damage was insignificant. A GERMAN REPORT. Received Dec. -28, 7.50 p.m. fxindon, Dee. 27. A wireless German official report states: We. repulsed an Italian attack at Monte Toiriba. FRANCE. GERMANY'S LIMITATIONS. STATEMENT BY FRENCH MINISTER. JAPAN BARS TEE WAY. Received Deo. 28, 7.50 p.m. __ London, Dec. 27, M. Picbon (French Foreign Minister) says it, is needless to fear Germany's emergency into the Pacific overland, as Japan bars the way. The Germans will never regain an entry to China. Their difficulties in Russia are only beginning, and it will bo impossible to largely replenish foodstuffs, while the reorganisation of Russian transport will take pears.
