AUCKLAND MEETING. -FIERY CROSS WINS THE CUP, Auckland, Last Night. The Racing Club's summer meeting was held in gloriouj weather, the attendance equalling the ronord. The track was hard. Adjutant met with some interference in the Cup, and lost his rider (Jones), who had a miraculous escape, only receiving severe bruises and a shaking. The stewards held an enquiry, and cautioned Goldfinch, the rider of Mullingar. The totalisator handled £80,985, as against £71,685 for the corresponding day last vear.
