There are some very interesting pictures in support, including the "Co-operative Weekly," a topical picture which this week shows a very fine series of views of the American tank being tested under war conditions. There is also a very amusing comedy "Skirts" and a comedy cartoon. OLGA PETROVA AT THE EMPIRE TO-NIGHT IN "THE SECRET OF EVE' 1 The world popular favorite, Olga Petrova, will be starred at the Empire tonight, in the Metro wonderplay "The Secret of Eve." Madame I'eVova is seen to singular advantage in this live act, Metro wonderplay of vita! force iuid intensity. It is a play that will appeal to every woman especially, but which also attracts the sterner sex who are always interested >n that wh'ch interests their women folk. The main feature or rather the central idea of the story is the splendid portrayal of ,the spirit of self sacrifice that exists in every woman—the spirit that, makes a true sweetheart, a wife, a mother. This old world theme which has travelled through life since the beginning of humanity—the secret of woman's power—is exceptionally well handled in this Petrova play. First it shows a mother's self sacrifice, then the self-sacrifice of a daughter, and in that spirit of self-sac-rifice is the spirit that was created with Eve. It takes a woman like Mmt. Petrova to put these points over on the screen—to bring them out simplv and powerfully, and she succeeds in thi? piay in a remarkable manner. The prices of admission will remain as usual. ,
