DETAILS OF SALE. STATEMENT BY FINANCE MINISTER. , By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christ-church, Last Night, In an interview with representatives of th? press on Chrhr.in.as eve, Sir Joseph Ward gave some .interesting particular* in r?p;ard to the *ahs of v. r ar loan certificates in the Dominion, . "The total sales up to the loth December have said. The next largest amount per capita, viz., £3 13s Id, and the largest total amount, viz., .-C046.400 3s were subscribed in the Wellington postal district. The amount subscribed in New Zealand for war purposes bv the purchase of war loan certificates compares very favorably with the amount subscribed in this way in the Australian States. According to a press report the sales in the Australian States up to the 3rd Nov. totalled £2,7111.474. which is less, than the total for the Dominion to the loth Inst., viz., .£2,873,271, and the sales per capita, were very nrtieh , lower.
